“Monteverde Now: Voices from the Frontlines of Change” is a series of 11 (excellent) short films about the people of Monteverde. The series was produced by grad students studying climate change and new media at the United Nations Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica.
It’s all about change, and how conservation has become a way of life.
If you’ve been to UGA CR, you’ve probably met Oldemar, “The Coffee Grower”, on a tour through Finca La Bella. And Eladio, “The Conservationist”, is the father of our full-time naturalist, Arturo Cruz.
This series is definitely worth checking out regardless of your connection to Monteverde as it touches much wider environmental issues. Enjoy, and take action!
