#YouinUGACR: Sights of San Luis

The hills are alive with the sounds of San Luis de Monteverde.

A 20-25 minute scenic drive from Santa Elena town, the center of Monteverde, will bring you to San Luis de Monteverde, an up-and-coming destination for rural tourism. In addition to being home to UGA Costa Rica, San Luis is home to approximately 400-500 inhabitants and several more species of flora and fauna. San Luis is divided into three neighborhoods: Alto (Upper) San Luis, Invu, and Bajo (Lower) San Luis. UGA Costa Rica’s campus is located in Alto San Luis, near the pulpería, or neighborhood convenience store, and the Escuela Altos de San Luis elementary school.
